![]() Thomas Snow in Concert at the Center for
Cultural Exchange The pictures were taken during a wonderful concert at the Center for Cultural Exchange in Longfellow Square in the heart of Portlands Arts District. The coordinator of this marvelous event was none other than Portland concert promoter and Dimensions in Jazz founder Paul Lichter. As a note of interest, my first collaboration with Paul was about ten years ago when the Thomas Snow Trio was invited to perform at his jazz club the Café No. At that time, my trio featured Phil Verrill on drums and John Hunter on bass. In addition to endless thanks to Paul for his efforts, I wish to extend my thanks to Starbird Piano and Organ for providing such a wonderful piano and to Mark Bois for his fantastic photographic work. Thomas Snow with the Jim Howe Quartet at The Press Room,
Pourtsmouth, NH After a several month absence I finally was able to return to the Press Room for a swinging afternoon of jazz with Ralph, Jim, and Les. I enjoy working with this trio so much!! As a matter of fact, Les will join me for the November performance with the Atlantic Chamber Orchestra on November 8th (see my upcoming perfomances page). We were especially excited to meet David Wells, a new musician on the scene. David plays GREAT alto and has just moved to Maine from California. For information about future Sunday Jazz happenings at the Press Room, contact bassist Jim Howe, PO Box 33, Hanover, ME 04237. I am sure that he would be happy to add you to the mailing list.
